Active Intrusion Protection

Fog Bandit Security Fog Systems

Start With the Area You Need to Protect.

Fog Bandit adds an active security layer when alarms and CCTV alone are not enough. Once approved activation conditions are met, dense security fog can rapidly restrict usable visibility and reduce an intruder's opportunity to locate or remove valuable assets.

The first question is simple: how many cubic metres need protection? Calculate the approximate room volume, understand the available options, then let Amaro Electronics prepare the recommendation for your site.

Security Fog Is Better Seen Than Explained

Watch the seconds as dense security fog rapidly changes the protected environment. The speed of intervention is one of the reasons security fog is different from a system that only records or reports an intrusion.

Security fog is not intended to replace alarms, CCTV or monitoring. It becomes the active internal response layer when the approved system design calls for intervention.

Understand the Complete System

Detect. Verify. Intervene. Supervise.

Fog Bandit is one active layer within a professionally designed security response.

01

Detect

Alarm sensors, perimeter beams, panic devices or other approved inputs identify an event.

02

Verify

CCTV, sequential alarm logic or an authorised person can form part of the confirmation strategy.

03

Intervene

Fog Bandit deploys dense security fog once the programmed activation conditions are satisfied.

04

Supervise

Compatible systems can report selected power, battery, tamper, cartridge or technical conditions.

Start With Cubic Metres

How Big Is the Area You Want to Protect?

Security fog is designed around room volume, not floor area alone. Measure the approximate length, width and ceiling height of the protected space.

Length × Width × Height = m³

Example: 6 m × 6 m × 3 m = 108 m³.

The calculator is a preliminary guide. Room layout, airflow, open doorways, ceiling design, asset locations and required fog trajectory are confirmed during professional assessment.
0 m³ Enter the three measurements to calculate the approximate protected volume.
Got your cubic metres? That is the main measurement we need.

Use your calculated volume in our enquiry form and Amaro Electronics can prepare a preliminary Fog Bandit recommendation for your site.

Fog Bandit 320 — How the Layers Work Together

Detection. Control. Active Fog Response. Monitoring.

The alarm system and Fog Bandit remain separate systems, but they can be professionally integrated as part of one security response.

Cartridges and Long-Term Readiness

Know What Is Serviced Without Needing to Learn Every Part Number

Security fog systems are designed to remain ready for long periods, so cartridges, batteries and periodic testing form part of ongoing maintenance.

320 Cartridge System

The 320 uses sealed cartridge positions inside the compact generator. Operational cartridges are replaced after use as required.

240 HY-3 Cartridge System

The 240 uses a multi-activation HY-3 cartridge architecture designed around programmable fog output.

Periodic Maintenance

System servicing should include battery condition, cartridge condition, alarm integration, controls and operational testing.

Critical sites may also require UPS or additional backed-up power for alarm, communications, CCTV, networking or associated infrastructure. This is assessed separately for the site.
Optional Visual Deterrence

Fog + High-Intensity Pulsed LED

Selected configurations can add a pulsed LED / camera-flash effect to the active fog response. It is an optional layer rather than a requirement for every installation.

Designed Around the Site

One System Does Not Fit Every Environment

Fog output, flash, alarm logic, panic activation, nozzle type and mounting position are selected around the actual operating environment.

Final equipment selection and detailed recommendation are provided after the enquiry and site information are reviewed.
Purpose-Designed Security Fog

Dense Security Fog Without Combustion Smoke

Fog Bandit security fog is generated for security applications rather than by combustion. Manufacturer information describes the fog for use in protected environments when correctly specified and used as intended.

The objective is rapid visibility restriction without using fire smoke as the deterrent mechanism.

Professional System Design

Every Installation Is Assessed Before Commissioning

Occupancy, ventilation, smoke detection, fire systems, emergency procedures, ceiling height, room layout and asset location must be considered before installation.

Security fog is an intrusion-protection system. It does not replace, disable or override legally required life-safety or fire-protection systems.
Where Security Fog Makes Sense

Frequently Asked Questions

Understand the Basics. Then Let Us Review Your Site.

How do I calculate the area for a Fog Bandit system?
Measure the approximate room length, width and ceiling height in metres. Multiply Length × Width × Height to obtain the approximate room volume in cubic metres (m³).
Do I need the 320 or the 240?
The 320 is the compact option for small-to-medium protected areas, while the 240 provides greater flexibility for larger or more complex spaces. Your cubic metres are the starting point; final selection depends on the site.
Can Fog Bandit integrate with my existing alarm?
Compatible alarm integration can form part of the professional system design. The existing alarm platform, activation logic and required interfaces are reviewed for the site.
Can Fog Bandit be installed discreetly?
Depending on the model and site design, visible, ceiling, horizontal and concealed installation approaches may be available.
What maintenance should I expect?
Periodic maintenance should include cartridge condition, battery condition, system controls, alarm integration and operational testing.
Why is a site assessment still required if I know my cubic metres?
Cubic metres are the starting point. Final design also depends on room shape, airflow, ceiling height, entry points, asset locations, nozzle direction and system integration.
How do I receive a preliminary recommendation?
Use the enquiry form and include your approximate cubic metres, premises type and whether an alarm system is already installed. Amaro Electronics can then review the request and respond to your application.
Educational illustration notice: Images and composite diagrams on this page are provided for educational and explanatory purposes. Product appearance, component layout, accessories, mounting arrangements and final installation configuration may vary according to model, supply specification and individual site requirements. Final system design is confirmed during professional assessment.
