To help us provide the best possible service, please have the following information available:

  • CCTV System Brand and Model: Knowing this allows our team to prepare appropriately. We specialize in servicing systems from leading brands like Uniview, Dahua, Hikvision, Hanwa, Axis, and Bosch, and we keep spare parts readily available for these. We’re well-equipped to quickly resolve any issues if you have one of these systems.
  • System Age: We strongly advise considering an upgrade for systems older than 10 years. While we can still work on older systems, finding compatible parts can be difficult, and warranty options are limited due to the age of the components. Upgrading to a modern 6MP IP camera system can offer better performance and value, similar to the benefits of replacing an ancient computer.
  • System Password (Optional but Helpful): While not essential, having your system password ready can speed up the service process. We can recover or reset passwords for most NVRs/DVRs, especially those purchased from Australian suppliers. This information helps us resolve issues more efficiently.

Understanding When a Quote Becomes a Service Call

At Amaro Electronics, we offer free, no-obligation quotes for new CCTV systems. However, a service call charge may apply in specific situations related to existing systems:

  • Issues with Existing Systems (Not Installed by Amaro Electronics, Under Warranty): If you’re experiencing problems with a system installed by another provider but still covered by Warranty, a service call fee may be applicable.
  • Transparent Cost Communication: We will always clearly explain any potential service call costs to you over the phone before any work begins.
  • Successful Issue Resolution: A service call charge will apply if our technician resolves the issue with your existing system during the service call, demonstrating their expertise and addressing your concerns.
